Jeneill founded Grasshopper Salon in 2002 after moving back to San Francisco from Manhattan where she lived and worked for several years. She opened the Salon with the goal of attracting and shaping the careers of emerging talent in the hair industry. As the Creative Director, she travels internationally teaching as well as attending advanced courses-as she is known to say, "Your box of knowledge can never be full." Jeneill balances her time at the salon with frequent trips to NYC, London, and Paris to style hair during fashion week. Jeneill personally leads education program at Grasshopper Salon.
Kelly is a recent co-owner and has been with Grasshopper Salon since the beginning in 2002. She is a hair stylist and advanced instructor at Grasshopper Salon and Alibi Salon in NYC.

Amanda joined the Grasshopper team in 2013. A graduate of Grasshopper’s intensive assistant program, Amanda excels at men’s cuts and styles. Her focus for women’s hair is creating a truly personal style for each client that grows-in beautifully between visits. Spotted by Label M as a standout rising talent during her training, Amanda was chosen to be a Label M Ambassador and now works with the Label M U.K. international art team. A truly versatile talent, she specializes in perms and updos for weddings and special events.
Logan joined Grasshopper in 2010 and has completed her haircutting training. Logan moved to San Francisco from Orange County where she trained at a Vidal Sassoon Institute focusing on building a foundation in strong technical cutting. She has been a mentor and educator for our Cutting Asistant Program for 4 years and has begun teaching our well-known colour program.
In her first role since graduating from the Aveda Institute, Selena is thrilled to be part of the Grasshopper team. Attracted to Grasshopper’s renowned Toni & Guy training program for its edgy and personalized style, she enjoys perfecting the art of cutting and styling and loves listening to clients, enjoying the collaborative process of helping them realize their vision. From this hard work, she was one of ten chosen by the Global TIGI Art Team, from thousands of applicants from around the country, to be apart of the successful TIGI's Inspirational Youth Program.
April joined Grasshopper in 2011 bringing over 8 years experience with Toni & Guy Salons in Tuscon, Austin, and Miami. Soon after arriving at Grasshopper she completed accelerated training programs in both cut and color perfecting her one-of a kind edgy, rocker-chic looks. Clients love her low maintenance approach to hair and down to earth personality.
Dee Dee Chan
Dee Dee joined Grasshopper in 2013, Dee Dee has been working as a high-end stylist since 2003. She started her professional career with Vidal Sassoon Academy and was a senior stylist and manager at Toni & Guy for 7 years. She specializes in men and womens cuts and color, extensions, Keratin Smoothing Treatment, balayage, updo's and weddings.
Alex’s career began in 2012 as a graduate of the Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy in Santa Monica. From the beginning, his passion for making women look beautiful and his training by some of the best Toni & Guy/TIGI educators in the U.S. focused Alex’s precision cutting technique and drive to achieve the latest in hair color trends. Alex’s talent for understanding different hair textures – he specializes in cutting Asian hair – and the most flattering styles by face shape means every client leaves Grasshopper with the prettiest hair possible.
Sam is the latest stylist to complete Grasshopper’s acclaimed training program, graduating with flying colors. Now she’s mastered the art of cut, color and the newly popular again.. permanent waves, she’s thrilled to be introducing her clients to the latest looks and trends. Sam is as enthusiastic about hair as she is about working with her clientele, and she’s quickly earned a reputation for cutting short, textured shapes, male hairdressing and long, beautiful layered looks that her clients love. Knowing the positive impact great style can have, Sam ensures everyone leaves knowing exactly how to style "or not style" their hair themselves at home.
